Damn it, I think Zelos is in a sleep coma again. He's not the only one, either. Colette's still asleep- [At least that's what he thinks. He's a little out of the loop, completely unaware that he'd been in a sleep coma, too.] -and Dino was in one, and Zack's friend, and other people. It's like they're contagious or something.

Is that what's really going on? Are people just getting sick with something we've never heard about?

[Man, now he really wishes Professor Raine was here. Even if she didn't know how to heal it, he knows she could figure out what it is. Then maybe they could figure out what to do from there.]

[He nods.] I went through a Gate that was supposed to take me home, but it brought me here instead.

H-hey! What's that supposed to mean? It's a perfectly good idea!

[Sidelong glance. He's not entirely certain if he just got insulted.] Hey, it's not that hard to understand.

[He frowns, really thinking about the question.] I don't know. I wonder if... Maybe it has something to do with the fact that we're not from this world?

Hey, we'll be fine even if it wears off. We don't need the stuff to stay alive, it just makes getting through fights unscathed a lot easier.

Oh. [His relief is plainly visible. From the way Zack had talked, he'd thought it was worse than that. But not being quite as strong... That's something that can be tackled.] But you can keep training and keep getting better, and it's not always how strong you are that matters. It's how well you fight.

You're right, but after four years of having the stuff, it'll just be tricky to adjust to not having it. [...snicker.] Especially if I might have trouble picking up my sword without it.

It seems like it. It's happened to a lot of my friends.

Hm... How strange. I've never heard of comas being so commonplace. And you're unsure what caused them?

[Lloyd grins, though he looks a bit sheepish, too.] It's something my mentor would say to me. I guess maybe our mentors are a lot alike.

Huh. Do you think you should find another sword just in case?

I didn't really get it, but it was a Gate that opened each month when it was a night with a full moon. There were big rocks with angelic writing and the Gate just appeared.

[Lloyd shakes his head.] If I knew, I'd do something to stop it from happening. But maybe it's something like what causes normal sicknesses.

Perhaps you're correct. Even so, there must be a cure of some sort.

You've been asleep for days, Colette.

[He'll answer the door right away, of course, even if he's only in his undershirt and black pants. He wants to see his friend just as much as she wants to see him. That smile hasn't left his face one bit.]

Of course I'm all right. Why wouldn't I be?

[Definitely scary. Lloyd is still freaked out whenever it happens to someone he knows.]

If we could ask a doctor or a healer, maybe they could help. You don't know any, do you?
