Damn it, I think Zelos is in a sleep coma again. He's not the only one, either. Colette's still asleep- [At least that's what he thinks. He's a little out of the loop, completely unaware that he'd been in a sleep coma, too.] -and Dino was in one, and Zack's friend, and other people. It's like they're contagious or something.

Is that what's really going on? Are people just getting sick with something we've never heard about?

[Man, now he really wishes Professor Raine was here. Even if she didn't know how to heal it, he knows she could figure out what it is. Then maybe they could figure out what to do from there.]

[That it is. She props up her chin on her hand as she looks down into the Dreamberry with a grin on her face.]

Wow, you're really caught up in that aren't you?

I'm just saying it's possible. Can you think of a better reason why these sleep comas happen?

Maybe it's just normal in this place. I mean, it is a dream world after all.

You mean we're supposed to be asleep?

That's how most of us got here, right?

[She shrugs a little, tossing her hair over her shoulder.]

But I've been here for two years and I still don't know what's going on sometimes.

Not me.

[He glances at her, then scratches the back of his neck.]

But if we're supposed to be asleep, why are we awake?

That's why I said most. [She frowns a little. She did know someone who came here in another manner after all... Was Lloyd the same way?] What was the last thing you remembered before getting here then?

It's not like you're asleep in your dreams, right?

My friends and I were trying to escape from the Papal Knights and jumped through something called the Otherworldly Gate to get back to my world. Only it didn't take me there. It brought me here instead.

[He opens his mouth - then closes it. Rise has a point.] You mean... all of this might be a dream? [Stunned.] Even you and Zelos and Dino and... everyone? Everything we've done?

[That... He doesn't want that. He doesn't want this to be a dream.]

[A wave of relief washes over her upon hearing that. At least it isn't as bad as Harley's situation.] I guess that sort of thing is possible too.

[She presses her lips together for a moment, slowly thinking about her next reply.]

Yeah... It probably is all a dream. Like I said, I don't really know how everything works but have been people who wake up and return after some time.

But... you feel so real...

[The thought that all his friends were just something he'd dreamed up... His throat tightens painfully.]

[Just seeing the pained look on Lloyd made Rise's heart clench. She didn't think that it would affect him so much. Nevertheless, she's able to put a smile on her face and at least attempts to cheer him up to the best of her ability. There's no way she'll allow anyone to be upset on her watch.]

That's a good thing right? It would be really bad if we just disappeared just because you tapped someone's shoulder or accidentally bumped into them.

[Not helping yet, Rise. Lloyd still looks like a puppy that's been kicked. Or maybe like someone told him his best friend is going to die.]

But if you're just a dream, that's even worse than you being gone when I wake up. It means you never existed. I just... made you up.

[She's familiar with that look. Yosuke used to have that look on his face at times.]

You did not make me up, Lloyd. And I'm sure it's the same with everyone else.

But you just said that everyone is a dream.

[You're confusing him, Rise. He doesn't get what you mean.]

I meant in a dream. Our memories from before Somarium and whatever memories we've made here can't be made up.

[She refuses to believe that all the friends she's made here and everything they've gone through could've all been a dream.]

In a dream? You mean, not dreaming, but inside it? [He blinks.] Is that possible?

[Please say yes. He wants to believe this is real. That Rise's real, and everyone he's met.]

But if it's a dream, whose is it?

It might just be a dream for everyone who got here through their sleep. Like I said, I'm really not sure. I'm not the Overlord here, Lloyd.

[She may not have all the answers but she hoped that she could at least be reassuring to her friend.]

But I'm still sure that at least everyone is real.

...Overlord? [His brow furrows as he searches his memory.] I've heard that word used before, but no one's said who it is.

[Still, he smiles, feeling better already.]

Good. My friends are the most important thing to me in the world. I want you all to exist.

I haven't seen her around for a while now. But if she's still around, I really think she's the one pulling the strings here...

[She smiles back, glad that he seems to be feeling better.]

Aww. That's really sweet of you, Lloyd. You're just as important to me too.

Do you think this is her dream we're in?

[He grins, pleased that she feels the same sentiment.]

It's just the truth.

It might be? I was never able to talk to her in person though...

[She tilts her head slightly, waving a hand in the air. That smiles still there though.]

Well, I still think that it's sweet.

Do you know where she is?

[Well. Not much he can say to that. Just going to rub the back of his neck, still grinning, and looking just a little embarrassed.]

I don't, but maybe someone else out there knows?

I'll have to find out. Maybe if it's her dream, she'll know a way how to send people home.

I'm not sure if you'll really get any answers. [Considering others before them must've tried that already.] But good luck with that.
