[A letter. That's what Lloyd had come home to. A letter. A letter and a suddenly empty apartment, all of Zelos's things just... gone. Lloyd stands there, still numbly holding the letter. Things had been strained between them ever since he'd found out. Found out that Zelos was dead. And how. Why. But he hadn't seen this coming.

Moved out.

Gone.

His thoughts feel broken and stilted. Zelos was gone.

Squeezing his eyes shut, the teen drops heavily into a chair.]

Dammit...

[For a long time all he does is just sit there, too many emotions lodged in his throat and his head to manage anything else. Finally, he pulls his Dreamberry out. He probably looks as bad as he feels - guilty, miserable. Angry. - but he honestly doesn't care. He needs to say something, even if it's stupid and childish.]

Somebody hit Zelos when you see him.

[Because Emil's smart enough to know that Lloyd wouldn't have reacted well to that?]

He moved out. He didn't warn me, he just did it. [He's trying to find refuge in anger. His hand clenches around the paper he's holding in his hand.] And then he told me he did in a letter!

[Yeaaaaah, the moving out part doesn't surprise him as much as it probably should.]

... Maybe, he just wants some time to himself?

I was giving him time to himself!

[Sort of. Except whenever they were in the same room, things were still stiff and tense. And maybe he'd tried a few more times to convince Zelos he should change his mind. But there was still plenty of time when he didn't!]

He just used it to pack!

[Sorry, Emil. Lloyd's more than a bit emotionally raw right now, and he's never really been one to hold his emotions back.]

I don't even get how he expects me to let it go! He's dead because of- Because I- I can't just forget about that!

Thanks. [He hunches his shoulders, still feeling irritated (at least that's what he's telling himself).] Make sure you hit him pretty hard. He can stand it.

[That's probably the best thing Emil can do right now. With as many other emotions as Lloyd is feeling right now, it doesn't take long for Lloyd's shoulders to slump, anger petering out.]

I don't get it. I just... don't. I don't understand what he wanted at all.

... A way out of it all. He must've just been tired.

T-That's not what I meant... I don't really know what happened to him but being told that it would've been better if he wasn't born like that? He probably felt like he shouldn't exist and was just... tired.

[Dammit, Zack. Lloyd is a horrible liar, and he's knows it - especially because he usually tries not to lie at all. Pressing him on it just makes it that much harder to hide that, no, he's not okay.]

[He looks away.]

Then he should listen to me until he does. I'm his friend. I wouldn't lie to him about this. He's important and he should be alive.
