Hey, everyone! Guess who's officially an adult today!

[That's right, it's his birthday - or the one that he and Dirk celebrate. The only one he's ever known, so the only one that counts as far as he's concerned.]

Oh, yeah, by the way, Kanaya, I finished that necklace for you! When do you wanna meet up?

[He... hasn't realized yet that Kanaya is gone. Late with your gifts again, Lloyd. Always late. :/ ]

But man, I've been looking forward to this birthday so much! Now that I'm eighteen, I don't have to go back to school!

Well. I haven't actually tried that one, out of all the vandalising I used to do... but I definitely feel that strength at times.

Were you just born that strong? Or do you have to work out? What do you mean, vandalizing?

Well, of course you have to work out, but it's partly natural, too!

I used to be in a gang, thinking I was cool to do bad things, before someone helped me get my act straightened out.

Someone changed my life. If I hadn't met that person, I'd probably still be thinking I was cool doing things like that.

Yes, Tohru. She's the sort of person to inspire you in anything—if you haven't met her, you should.

I don't think I have. I'll have to keep that in mind if I ever do meet her.

Do you have any friends from home here with you?

Yeah! Genis, Colette, Zelos, Sheena, Emil, Mithos, and Kratos... They're all from the world I'm from. Well, Zelos sort of is - my world's split in two and he's from Tethe'alla and I'm from Sylvarant - and I'm not sure about Mithos and Kratos.

[Since they were both old enough to be from before there were two worlds.]

And Emil says there's only one world now when he's from. It's kind of confusing. But we all kind of came from the same place before we came to Somarium.

But it must be nice to have so many people around from home.

[Probably just as well. Lloyd's pretty bad when it comes to explaining things like this.]

It is. I'm glad I'm not here alone. I still miss my other friends, though, and there are important things I need to do in my world, so I haven't given up trying to find a way back.

But I'm still glad for my friends. All of them. I've made lots of new ones here, too.
