[Lloyd's face is pale, panicked, when the video feed turns on.]

Guys, we have a problem. Cruxis is here.

[He swallows.]

And so is Kratos. He's taken over. It isn't Yggdrasill anymore, it's him. He's-

[His eyes abruptly widen, no longer looking at the Dreamberry but something off screen.]

Damn it, they're back!

[There's a flash of steel as he pulls a sword out, then the feed abruptly turns off.]

I-I don't know but none of this really makes sense in the first place.

[Kinda freaked and nervous. What if he was next? More than that what if those he knew got seriously hurt because of this misunderstanding??]

[Attention still half on the air, Lloyd edges back, warily keeping track of unseen movement above. He frowns, still not convinced.]

How do you know they're not angels? If we got here, couldn't they have gotten here, too?

I don't know-... W-Wait, if they're really angels then let me see if it looks like one to me!

[That earns Emil a funny look.]

[But he holds the Dreamberry up again all the same.]

See, there's two of them. They've been after me all day, ever since I got away from Kratos.

[The Dreamberry shows a view of sky and clouds and the tops of trees - but nothing else. There's no sign of anything remotely like an angel anywhere.]

[That earns a rather funny look in return because, um, what?]

Um, I don't see anything though, just a couple of trees...

What?

[The view drops, showing the ground, and there's alarm in Lloyd's voice.]

But they're right-

[He whips around, the view spinning with him.]

Damn it, where'd they go?!

[Was not expecting the sudden change in picture quite like that. He was fighting against something though...]

They were flying around, right? Were they attacking you directly or just following you?

[Lloyd lifts the Dreamberry again, but his anxious attention is still clearly on trying to find his pursuing angels.]

They've attacked, but they're good. Really good. I haven't been able to land any hits. Why? Why do you ask?

I was just wondering what you were attacking, if um, maybe it was a couple of birds or a few scarecrows... I-If there aren't really any angels here I mean.

...Emil, I know the difference between an angel and a bird. I'm not seeing things.

[... This isn't going to go anywhere anytime soon]

Uh, are you in Somni or Espoir?

[Smart boy, Emil.]

[There's snow and trees in the background.]

I don't think you should come here, though. It's dangerous.

[As though to punctuate the statement, he tenses, eyes darting back to the sky.]

[He has his moments. He...might know where that is. Already heading out sorry]

I-I'll be there soon.

[Click! Yeah, didn't give him time to respond to that since he already knows what he'd say. Readying his equipment he leaves his cottage in search for what he saw through the Dreamberry. He just hoped Lloyd wasn't attacking a person...]

Emil, no-!

[Click!]

Damn it!

[Unfortunately, he doesn't have time to call Emil back to tell him not to come. The angels attack and he's too busy defending.

When Emil shows up, he'll find the older teen desperately attacking the thin, cold air.]

[Luckily, it doesn't take too long to find him seeing as most people are inside due to all the chaos. That being said, arriving didn't make things any less confusing then he thought it would. Was he...?]

... Lloyd, you're um, swinging at air.

[All of his attention had been on fighting the angels. He isn't prepared when Emil speaks up. Normally, that wouldn't have meant much, maybe just a startled jump.

But he's hallucinating.

Panicked, he whips around, an attack already on the tip of his tongue.]

Demon Fang!

[A wave of destructive mana hurls from his sword across the ground, straight for...

...another angel. A blond one. Lloyd's eyes widen in dismay. Damn it, the others have found me again!]

[Emil barely had time to dodge that attack as he tumbles onto the snow. Standing back up quickly with a worried look. This isn't good--]

Lloyd? I-It's just me, Emil!

What? No!

[He glares at the angel, anger tightening his hands around his swords.]

I'm not that stupid. I know who you are!

[He charges, trying to take advantage of Emil's temporary loss of balance.]

W-What?

[Oh crap, he thinks he's an angel. Going to be rolling out of the way of his charge, hand going for his sword but not drawing it.]

Please, I'm not an angel no matter what you're seeing! It's just an illusion, remember??

You're just trying to get me to lower my guard.

[He changes his course to follow Emil, his sword slashing for the other boy's neck.]

It's not going to work!

Why would I-

[He doesn't even get a chance to finish his sentence as Lloyd comes at him again. This time though, he doesn't have time to dodge and is forced to draw in his in defense as it stops Lloyd's from advancing much closer]

Y-You need to listen to me, please! I don't want to fight you-!

If you don't want to fight me, you wouldn't be following Kratos's orders!

[His first sword was blocked, but his other one is still free. He strikes at a lower angle this time, aiming for Emil's leg.]

Kratos?

[What did he mean-- He couldn't even finish his train of thought as Lloyd managed to swipe his legs. Emil just barely manages to dodge away before the swords take out his legs fully but not before the blade cuts one of his legs. Thankfully it wasn't deep but it was still enough to give him a slight limp on that side. This wasn't good]

I'm not following his orders or anyone's! You have to trust me, I don't want to fight you-! I'm your friend, r-remember?

[He raises his sword up again for defense but it's shaking a bit. He was so conflicted at the moment it was seriously shaking his focus]

[It's a good thing for Emil that he raised his sword just then, because that's exactly where Lloyd's next strike would have landed. Steel crashes on steel, and Lloyd continues to glare.]

No friend of mine would try to kill me just to get to Colette.

[He strikes again.]

No friend of mine would want to see Colette hurt in the first place at all!

[Thankful indeed as he puts in all of his strenght into stopping that blade]

B-But I've never done something like that! Please, just stop attacking me!

[His voice started to shake as he tries to convince the other of who he was while trying not to get killed]
