[Lloyd's face is pale, panicked, when the video feed turns on.]

Guys, we have a problem. Cruxis is here.

[He swallows.]

And so is Kratos. He's taken over. It isn't Yggdrasill anymore, it's him. He's-

[His eyes abruptly widen, no longer looking at the Dreamberry but something off screen.]

Damn it, they're back!

[There's a flash of steel as he pulls a sword out, then the feed abruptly turns off.]

[He fumbles then holds the Dreamberry up. Maybe he was just holding it at a bad angle the first time.]

There's two of them. I lost track of Kratos somewhere. Can you see them now?

[ That's exactly what she thought, but the moment her eyes squinted further to the screen--

Yeah nope. ] Um... [ A nervous pause. ] I still don't see anything... there is nothing there. I'm sorry!

Lloyd, can you please tell me where you are?

Damn it, this thing must not be working.

[He bangs the Dreamberry against his side, but of course that doesn't help.]

Colette, no, I don't want you coming here. You're the one they're after.

What if I meet you somewhere, if I manage to get them off my tail?

[ C- could that be it? Maybe she wasn't look the right way...

Huh. ] But-- [ Alright, fine. Cue a choked sigh. ]

Can we meet at the lake? I'll head over there right now! Please be careful...

Yeah, that should be fine. I'll be there as fast as I can. Just stay underneath a tree so no one can see you from the air.

[He tries to reassure her with a smile.]

Don't worry about me. I'll be fine.

Alright! [ Yeah she's already starting to run to the lake. BE QUICK LLOYD, SHE'S REALLY WORRIED. ]

I know you will. [ Wh- whatever is going on, hopefully it will be explained when they meet up. ]

[He'll try to be quick, but being quick is hard when you're fighting imaginary enemies, Colette. :c Please forgive him if he runs a little late.

A "little late" being more like half an hour...

Out of breath, Lloyd furtively darts from tree to tree, trying not to be seen as he gets closer to the lake.]

[ By the time he starts heading her way, Colette is completely restless; now beginning to pace around the tree she was standing under. Multiple times the urge to go meet up with him took over, but Lloyd's words kept her in place.

It was then that the blond finally sees the exhausted male in the distance. Oh finally-! ]

Lloyd-- !

[ She can't help it, she needs to see if he is okay. Which means running from her hiding spot to greet him. ]

Are you okay? Did you get hurt?

[Alkajsksl Colette, no, don't-!

Lloyd's eyes widen, and, oh look, he's running to greet her, too-

No, wait, he's not. He's tackling her into the snow!]

Colette, stay down!

[ Oh what Lloyd why aren't you stopping-- ]

Llo-- AH! [ And dooown she goes into the snow. fkadgubdah ]

[Lloyd wraps his arms around her and holds her there very, very still. A little of the snow around them falls in, dusting over their clothes, but he doesn't move. Barely breathes. His heart beats rapidly as he scans the sky above.

Finally, he whispers-]

Shh. I don't know if I lost them yet.

[ The constricting hold stuns the female into place. Not to mention the sudden freezing sensation that began to bury into the back of her neck. However, she obeyed; trying to remain as completely unmoving as possible.

But oh wow what-- ] What's going-- [ Oh right. Whispering.

Hold on she's dropping her voice now. ] Them? But Lloyd, I haven't seen anything...

And let's hope it stays that way. I don't want to lose you, Colette. Not again.

[Slowly he lifts his head, searching for any sign that angels might be near. Keeping his voice down, he asks-]

Can you hear anything?

[Colette's hearing is better than his, after all.]

[ Lloyd...

Remaining quiet as he shifts, Colette will close her eyes to concentrate her focus to her ears. With this, she can finally prove to herself that whatever was out there was really there!

-- Yet... nothing came.

She tried again, eyes squinting a little tighter this time to try to hear something... anything!

Nothing. ]

... I'm sorry.

[She didn't hear anything. Lloyd takes a deep breath, then slowly relaxes his hold. Finally, he risks sitting up to look around, and when he looks back at her, there's relief on his face.]

Don't be sorry, you dork. If you can't hear anything, that's a good thing. It means there's no one here.

[ A little baffled, Colette will hesitantly raise herself into a sitting position as well.

How was she going to put this? ] ... Y- yeah. I'm just glad you are alright.

Yeah...

[He reaches for her hand, gratefully squeezing it.]

I'm glad you're okay, too. We should get inside, though. I don't want to be spotted, and it's cold out here. Maybe not back home, though, in case they're following us. How about we go to a store?

[ When the hand is extended to her, she'll gladly take it. Giving the hand her own little squeeze in return. ]

Right, that might be dangerous. [ Maybe? ] Uh huh. That might be a good idea, we should try it.

[He gets up now, still holding her hand to help her up, too, and dusts the snow off with his other.]

Wanna get some coffee? Or go somewhere else?

Well, what do you want, Lloyd? [ lol here she goes again. ]

I'll have whatever you want to have.

[Nope. Not having that. He gives her a teasing nudge.]
