Hey, everyone! Guess who's officially an adult today!

[That's right, it's his birthday - or the one that he and Dirk celebrate. The only one he's ever known, so the only one that counts as far as he's concerned.]

Oh, yeah, by the way, Kanaya, I finished that necklace for you! When do you wanna meet up?

[He... hasn't realized yet that Kanaya is gone. Late with your gifts again, Lloyd. Always late. :/ ]

But man, I've been looking forward to this birthday so much! Now that I'm eighteen, I don't have to go back to school!

Isn't that what adults do? I want to get a job so that I can do something, be part of the world I live in. Even if that world is here and not the world I grew up in. I'm not going to give up on finding a way home, but that doesn't mean I can't be part of this world while I'm here.

[Lloyd thoroughly approves of her choice of words, though he's a little late catching up with the change. Oh well, it's not like Colette will care if he messed up the song a little.]

[ Even if he did mess up, Colette was completely caught in the moment to notice. She loved singing, and to have Lloyd do it with her was such an overwhelming emotion that even ten birthdays couldn't fill.
