Lloyd is so glad Ruca started this call with voice only, because it's a whole lot easier to get his SFC to respond in kind than to figure out how to switch. This is going to be awkward enough as it is without seeing each other's faces. Lloyd knows his cheeks are turning pink.]

Uh... h-hey. Ruca? Sure, uh...

[It's a lame and pathetic stall and he knows it, but he does it anyway.]

[Lloyd pauses with surprise. Not the surprise of someone who doesn't believe, but the surprise of someone who didn't realize there might be another factor involved.]

[But that... that makes sense. Lloyd smiles as he remembers the seventh dwarven vow. Yeah, it's corny, but that doesn't mean it holds any less truth.]

Justice and love will always win... Heh. Maybe that's why the curse worked so well on me. I don't... really have someone like that. [Turning pink again.] I mean, I have people I like, but... I don't know. I just... haven't thought about them like that.

[This whole conversation is awkward, and in more ways than one. Lloyd's not used to talking about his feelings like this, or even thinking about them that much. He's always been the kind of guy to just go with each moment, going with what he feels without thinking. It's weird even admitting this much.]

[Good. This is good. Lloyd really didn't want Ruca to think he had any feelings. Or that he blamed him. Or anything. He wishes this had never happened, too, and that they could just go back to having only just met.

Well, even if that can't happen now, they can still try their hardest to pretend. His voice takes on a slightly exaggerated positive note.]

Part of that depends on what he wants. Does he want a house made from wood or stone or bricks? We'll probably need a lot of wood anyway, mortar if we use any stone or bricks, and nails, hammers, saws...

And we'll need a cart to carry stuff in. Some of this is pretty heavy stuff!
