14th Combo - [Dream]

The dream starts off simply enough, with the figure of a glowering forevveraglub standing with arms crossed. The scenery around him is indistinct, perhaps a field or a forest. rainbowpalette, a girl, is standing in front of him. Neither one looks happy, but the girl is particularly upset. Eridan snaps something at Kanaya, who looks like she's almost in tears.

For a moment, the dream fuzzes and goes out of focus and...

Lloyd leans forward, smiling at Kanaya as he holds her protectively. "Don't worry," he says. "I don't care what Eridan says about the future. I'll make sure it never happens."

"Thank you, Lloyd." Kanaya smiles back, arms around his neck. "You're a really good friend."

And watching them draw close, seeing how happy they are, the only thing Eridan can do is sob. If only he'd been nicer to his friend, that could have been him in her arms!

[Greetings! Have Eridan's face on your screen Lloyd, how his eyes are half lidded in annoyance, eye brows lowered, near furrowing, lips pursed as if trying to hold back some great verbal ass kicking or something. His fins curled with agitation. He looks about ready to skin someone alive. Probably Lloyd.]

[It takes him a second, just sitting there, staring. Despite the hate and anger exuding from his form, he's keeping calm for the most part. But he looks like a volcano ready to erupt at the smallest spark.]

[Slowly he opens his mouth, closes it, thinks, opens it again--lip drawing back against his sharp teeth in a rage filled snarl.]

You hawe a thing for Kan, do ya?

[There is nothing but venom in his words, venom and a slight protective, possessiveness that really gets drowned out by the ill intent that floods the sounds. He is not happy Lloyd. Not. One. Bit.]

[Ugh, dammit, what a thing to wake up to. As far as Lloyd's concerned, that had been a nice dream. Would have been better without Eridan at all, but can't always have everything. Dream Eridan had at least been better than reality.

Lloyd rolls over in his bed and picks his Dreamberry up, rubbing his eyes and giving the troll a sleep-blurred glare.]

She's my friend. What do you care?

[If Eridan thinks growling at Lloyd is going to intimidate him, he doesn't know Lloyd at all. Lloyd just responds with a flat glare back.]

You think I'm bad company? I'm not the one who wants to kill her!

[Kanaya just saw his dream. Kanaya. There's a hint of red creeping up his cheeks now, and words, what are words? Because he has no idea what to say.]

Um... uh, thanks? [He rubs the back of his neck. Come on, Lloyd, this isn't a big deal. People see dreams all the time. Still blushing a little, he gives Kanaya a sheepish grin.] It was just a dream. I'd definitely protect you if someone tried to hurt you, though, so I guess that part was real. You're my friend!
