Take advantage of me? What do you mean? He hasn't done anything to me I didn't want him to.

[At least, not that he can think of.]

Perhaps...you weren't sure on what you wanted, and he used that. Did anything pass between the two of you that you regret?

[Anything he regrets?

His mind immediately goes to Zelos's death, and his voice grows quieter.]

Does it count if it's something I regret because I couldn't stop it?

I...

[Ky resoundingly wasn't expecting that, and while it takes him a second to recover his thoughts are quickly organizing themselves into a battle plan.]

I can protect you from him, I promise.

Huh?

[Lloyd's surprise is genuine.]

Wait, what? I was talking about protecting him. What are you talking about?

Voice;

[closedcircuit]

[ Protect Zelos? Huh? But then...? ]

If he...made you sleep with him...

Voice;

[redcladidealist]

Made me fall asleep? You think he drugged me?

[Yup, Lloyd totally missed what Ky meant. Still, he sounds incredulous and offended on Zelos's behalf.]

Zelos wouldn't do something like that to me. I went over to talk to him and fell asleep. That's all that happened.

Voice;

[closedcircuit]

No, I meant...

[ But if Lloyd hasn't guessed what he meant, then that's almost certainly a blessing. ]

Nothing happened between the two of you prior to falling asleep that you wish hadn't?

Voice;

[redcladidealist]

[Lloyd shakes his head, forgetting for a moment that Ky can't see him.]

No, nothing.

[A pause, then...]

What's this all about? Did Zelos do something to make you mad at him?

Voice;

[closedcircuit]

I wanted some information from him, and I saw the two of you sleeping together. In the same bed, I mean.

[ Ky's still a little confused and slightly concerned, but he doesn't know how to ask what he feels he should. ]

Did you...initiate what happened between you?

Oh. So, Zelos won't answer your questions, huh?

[Somehow Lloyd isn't surprised. His defensive tone fades as he thinks he's figured this out, replaced with a tone of understanding.]

Hmm. I guess you could say I started it. I did go over there to talk to him. Well, I wanted to do something, too, but he was tired. I guess sleeping worked, too, though, so that's all right.

Voice;

[closedcircuit]

[ If he... But then... No, that sort of thing was surely none of Ky's business. Not if Lloyd knows what he wants and there's no pressure that he feels to do something that he doesn't want to. Whatever he might then have decided to do with Zelos, is his choice. Ky's trying not to let the idea bother him as much as it still seems to. ]

Ah, I'm sorry. Any relationship you choose to pursue with him is of course your own business. I didn't mean to intrude on something like that.

You just walked in on us while we were asleep, right? Don't worry, it's fine. You didn't know I was there, and it's not like we were doing anything. You didn't even wake us up.

[Not for lack of trying, but Lloyd doesn't know about that lightning.]

This conversation... I shouldn't have called you.

[There are other, less alarming and potentially life threatening ways to wake someone up, Ky.]

Why not? If Zelos wasn't explaining things to me, I might ask someone else, too.

[ It wasn't life threatening, or anything close. He had control. ]

I didn't call you because of that, I called you because I was reading things into the situation which concerned me. I shod have kept my nose out of it.

So... then you were just worried.

[Lloyd's still not entirely sure what Ky was worried about. This whole conversation is a little confusing. But he's managed to pin down that much at least.]

I don't think there's anything wrong with making sure that everything's all right. If something had been wrong, you'd regret it if you didn't ask, right?

Yes, that is true.

I'm glad that you're alright, either way.

Me, too. So, yeah, thanks for checking up on me, even if nothing was wrong.

And...it's always to meet someone else who's on it. How are you finding being on the Defense Force?

It's a little boring sometimes, actually. I guess that's a good thing, since it means nothing bad is happening, but sometimes I still want something to do.

I understand. I'm used to spending all of my free time on something important. Here, it's...an artificial idleness.

I've been spending my free time training and making stuff. I'm going to build a boat! This isn't my world, so I know I can't get home that way, but maybe if I can sail somewhere else, I can find more clues or something that will help.
